Mellow Mushroom Copy Cat Recipe- amazing!

Head on over to Lark & Lola (all around amazing blog with some of the most amazing recipes I have ever tried!)
This recipe is by far the best one yet though!! The dough actually ended up making the 2 pizzas below and one more small one- just warning you! I think next time I will save half the dough in the freezer for later.  Usually, my family runs and hides from new recipes but they ate all of this up that night! Good luck, I hope you try it and love it too!

A day at the White Fence Farm

Have you been to White Fence farm yet?
If you have not and you live in Colorado- you are missing out!
If you decide to go, plan for a few hours because there is so much to see and do! The lines are usually about 45 minutes to sit and eat- but there is always enough to do to keep you busy until then.

It has a great kid's play area, including a great tree house, playground, tire swing and of course...

photo ops :)

a peacock!

a great pond with ducks that you can let the kiddos feed!!!!!

(my son's favorite part!)

Once inside they have great shopping, homemade candies, a great kid's play area, an arcade,  a slide and sometimes live music!

on the weekends you can also get character pictures done.  If you go at Christmas time they almost always have Santa and Mrs. Claus ready for photos and carriage rides.

An amazing farm area with goats, pigs, chickens and more!!

The best part really is the corn fritters once you get into the restaurant though! Save room for those delicious little guys :) The chicken is pretty good but I also really enjoy the white fish. Meals are about $15 a person which I think is a pretty good deal for all the amazing activities included.

Harry Potter Themed Baby Shower

My boss at work is having her first baby and really wanted a book shower instead of a regular baby shower.  Let me just go ahead and admit that I am a hard-core nerd! I love Harry Potter. So it was the one and only thought I had :) and it legit made my day.
I also love an app that is huge in my area called VarageSale- it is like CraigsList but for your specific area.
I found almost everything on here from a lady on that site for $40!  I bought it awhile ago but I am hoping that maybe one of my kids will love it as much as I do :)

The letters are just printed out on paper and then we cut them out and taped them to look like they were flying.  I got the glasses in the big stash of Harry stuff!

I found this graphic online of the whomping willow and I downloaded a Harry Potter font for the text.  I found the book at a secondhand book store for $3. We had everyone sign the book and I just loved it.

Don't mind our ugly bathroom :)  But I just had to show you the sign, absolutely hilarious

Mason jars and these awesome printables!

And soda label printables http://www.pinterest.com/pin/278167714459692618/

We used the quidditch robe as "the mommy to be throne"

Another awesome thing in the Harry Potter stash!

It wouldn't be a party without Hagrid's Hut & his dragon.

Time to be jealous-- The Sorting hat talks. oh yeah, i'm that cool! :)

I hope she really loved it! I always find that no matter how much I think I have to decorate when I put it out, it never seems like enough! Do you have the same problem??

Keeping those baby memories

I love almost everything about being a mommy, but one thing I hate is how quick babies move into the toddler stages. I learned with my first son that I wanted to cherish that time and almost freeze those amazing memories.  I love a lot of the different things I have come up or found on the amazing Pinterest but this is by far my fav!!!

Aren't they stinkin' cute??

I found the shadow boxes at Hobby Lobby for $5 each (Have I mentioned I <3 their clearance aisle?!?!)
I also found the sparkle blue letters at hobby lobby for $1
The backgrounds are the boy's hospital blankets and I had to add their tiny hospital hats & bracelets too!

Traveling with kiddos: Seattle

I am lucky enough to have my brother live in one of the most gorgeous cities I have ever been to.  We traveled to Seattle in February and the one thing I have to warn you if you travel in February is that it is cold- bring extra warm clothes! We live in Colorado so for us it was a very different kind of cold that froze us all!

Our first stop was very touristy- Ivar's.
I just LOVE their clam chowder & the amazing view from restaurant.  Every time we go I have to go there!

Yumm!! We just can't get Clam Chowder like this in Colorado!

Are you ready to be jealous??? This is my brother's view:

His front yard:

right?!?! no mowing! heaven!!

sooo pretty!!!!!

The infamous misty view of Seattle, I just loved it!

Under no circumstances can you skip the Seattle Aquarium if you are traveling with kids.  Really, without kids I would still go.  So far it is my absolute favorite Aquarium that I have been to so far.  It is so interactive for the kids throughout the entire aquarium, so they can touch and check out so much!

AMAZING RIGHT?!?!

I caught this sweet moment of my brother & sister in law.  One of my favorite photos from the entire trip :)

Another must do: Stop at almost any restaurant near the coast, we did 3-4 random ones and they were all amazing.  It's FRESH fish!!! Compared to the frozen fish that we are used to, anything was amazing. I couldn't get enough of it the whole time we were there.

My sister in law is from California and rants and raves about Round Table Pizza. Seriously I have been hearing about it for 8 years and I finally had to check it out.  She is right. It is amazing. There are Round Tables all over Washington, Google one, find it and you won't be disappointed.  Although, don't expect too much out of the look of the restaurant but the pizza definitely made up for that :)

The biggest suggestion I can give with traveling with kids is be flexible.  My parents & I are all a very structured type of travel people, we are the people that rock an time/date schedule. :) Traveling with kids I have had to become much more flexible.  Are the kids hungry? Stop and eat, even if it is not where you planned.  We found a little burger joint that had 40 different kinds of fries! The one below is gravy, the one behind was fresh garlic.  It was delicious and we never would have stopped there if my son wouldn't have mentioned that he was hungry.

I can't believe that I forgot my camera when we went to the Wharf but this is another MUST SEE! They have such amazing & distinct items you cannot find anywhere else.  The best part by far though is the food. seriously the cannoli was heaven. I wish we had bough the fresh fish and grilled it.  Some of the stores even offering shipping home! Definitely should have done that and probably will next time.

We ended the trip with a drive out to the coast.  It was freezing but still so much fun.  We brought buckets and let the kiddos search for shells, they loved it!!

By far one of the best family trips we have done.  I would love to hear about all of the places you love in Seattle!
