Colorado Bucket List: Colorado Rockies Game with kids

We recently took went to a Colorado Rockies game with our kids.
Can I just say that the Rockies really go far and beyond to make the kids love the games!!!!

The view is amazing- cant beat it!

During the 3rd & 4th inning, directly behind the waterfall- Dinger will be there to take photos and sign autographs for the kids!! (We totally found this by accident while we were searching for the bathroom!)
We lined up 1/2 way through the 2nd inning and were back in our seats before the end of the 3rd. Totally worth it! The kids absolutely loved it.

Also, right behind the waterfall is a toddler play area.  If the kids get bored head over there!!

Thanks awesome Rockies photographer!

If you keep walking past the waterfall, towards the massive scoreboard- you will find this amazing gem.
A playground!!! Thank you to the genius who felt to need this in, its amazing to let the kids stretch and play in the middle of a long game!  They also have staff members watching the playground to make sure everyone plays nice :)  We also found a food spot right next to the playground that has the most affordable kid meals in the entire park and the kids loved them!

Cant have a 98 degree baseball game without a delicious cup of shaved ice- yumm!

I hope you make it to a game with your kids this summer!

How to stop your sprinklers from overspraying

Sprinklers have long been my nemesis....  up until recently they have honestly just terrified me. My amazing dad has slowly been teaching me how to fix them and as I learn I will share my amazing lessons with you!!!

Our sprinkler head all of the sudden last week started spraying water 360 degrees, across our street and was watering our neighbors yard- across the street and giving any passing car a lovely car wash.  Sorry random people driving on my street!!! Besides being a complete annoyance to our neighbors, the extra water costs will really add up for watering everyone else's lawns!! :)

First off, almost all sprinkler heads will have directions on the top of the sprinkler head-- who knew???
Mine has two holes on the top- one for how far to the right it will spray and one for how far it will go.
The home improvement stores has a special tool you can buy to fit into the sprinkler head to adjust them.
I just dug around my massive tool box and found a super long and thin screwdriver and it worked great.

Now, turn on your sprinklers.  Turn your actual sprinkler head so that the left side starts/stops where your grass line is.  Then put your screwdriver/ tool into the hole that will adjust the spray width.  Just keep turning until the spray stops where you need it to stop.

So now you have your sprinklers staying within your lawn but it spraying so far that it is hitting your house or the street?  Put your screwdriver into the other hole and turn again until it shortens the spray that it actually stays within your own property! Look at that you just solved a sprinkler problem!!!
